Crude and brittle

Grateful for the tip on how to split them using pliers but the difficult part was finding one free of cracks to start with, these bricks ate extremely brittle and will shatter if hit with a hammer, dont like the amount of frogs that use a lot of your cement mix, but they were cheap to buy and it was only a garden project
Good quality brick at very good price

Perfect for BBQ

I wanted to buy house bricks but the price has gone through the roof so opted for these cheaper bricks.
Yes they are not perfect, but the tolerance in terms of size can be sorted by amount of mortar you lay. I have a very level bbq.
I note some say the bricks crumble when splitting. I have not experienced this when using a decent sharp brick bolster and club hammer.
To aid others I built the following BBQ using a 162 bricks and a mortar mix of 4:1 with a bit of plasticiser to keep the mix workable.
Great bricks for any project

Bought 200 of these for Fort Sausage (My BBQ project)
Some previous reviews have mentioned that the bricks are difficult to split, as they just crumble ... They will do that if you just smash them with a hammer ...
However, I have found the best way to split them, is to get heavy duty pliars, grip the brick where you want to split it, then hit the pliars
Works everytime, 90% of the time
