Great easy to use

Excellent voltage tester
I Was very hesitant to buy this product due the many negative reviews However i am very pleased with the voltage tester. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Strongly recommend. Good price as well.

A real timesaver.
I bought the voltage tester today so that I could identify a particular cable amongst a bunch of dead ones. It took seconds and paid for itself straight away. I’ve purchased several of similar mains testers over the years and this Lap pen is the only tester that gives an audible signal along with a torch and an indicator that tells me it’s on!

awful
bought day ago. i just wanted to check if power was reaching my pond uv light from switch bought 2 days ago. i couldnt believe the readings, if i touched the top of switch box it would indicate live, i touched outer sleeve of cable i knew had power to pump- no indication power was there. i touched on middle of kitchen table cable not plugged into anything and it indicated live would not trust any readings from this will have to be returned

battery cover needs redesign
the pen is aight but ive never fiddled more just putting a battery cover back on???? makes you feel like a right moron, would not buy again.

Awful
Would give zero stars if I could. It goes off randomly so is clearly not accurate. It thinks current can be detected on wood, skin and plastic

Picks up induced voltage
Not fit for purpose, too sensitive in the general area of any live conductor

Unusable, too sensitive, static sets it off
Regrettable, this is way too sensitive and is thus unusable. Touching the outer casing causes it to go off (probably through static as the case is plastic), moving it through the air quickly causes it to go off, and when trying to use it with actual electrical sources, goes off about 20 cm away so when you have several wires near each other (or not even that near each other) it goes off. Very regrettably, the previous orange current detector appears to be discontinued so I will forced to return this and purchase one elseware.
