Tall stems bearing bright pink flowers in late summer
- Planting location: Beds, borders or in patio pots
- Flowering period: September - November, Planting period: March - May
- Plant nerines in hot sunny borders or containers. Mix plenty of grit into the compost or the planting hole to ensure adequate drainage. Remove faded flowers. Feed bulbs with a high potash fertiliser in early spring to help encourage flower production. Water Nerines during the growing season, particularly in dry weather, but make sure they are not in water-logged soil. Allow foliage to die down naturally. In colder areas, protect bulbs from winter frosts with a thick mulch of bark chips or straw.
