Smart lighting
I made my first trial of smart lighting with Hue, but the bulbs are seriously expensive. Then a few months ago discovered that Philips had launched Wiz. Since then I've installed x4 GU10 spots in the study, a standard 1xE27, 4xE27 living room (5 amp circuit) and x10 candles in a chandelier, all 4 rooms also using the Wiz remote. As long as you've got good wifi coverage in your home, these lights are fantastic. The ability to dim or set lighting based on requirements - e.g. daylight for task work, warm for evening, concentration when using a monitor for work - all fantastic. The lights are pretty easy to set up, occasionally on set up they don't want to connect, but the app is intuitive and does what's required. Bit pricey, but then they are clever and very functional lights.

Great lights, bright and good quality white light
I have 32 wiz lights of various types around the house. I’ve never had a problem with them dropping off the Wi-Fi. I run a orbi pro mesh network. Good brightness, good whites and very easy to set up. Very happy with them and will likely buy more over time until all the lights inside and out are wiz lights.

Always disconnecting from WiFi
I brought 5 of the Philips branded WiZ light bulbs a couple of months ago with a lamp shade. Since then these lights are always dropping of the wireless. Even when light bulbs are about 3meters from the wireless AP they constantly become disconnected. After setting up their own SSID on 2.4ghz only the lights would only stay connected fir 2-3 days before dropping off again. Have replaced all with WiZ’s own light bulbs and not had any issues since
