Does the job

A mouse chewed through our dishwasher waste hose. Taking out the diswasher to change the hose would have been days of work, but fortunately there was enough length left in the hose to cut and refit. As others have said, the screw end of the rubber is a tight fit in the hose, but judicious use of a heat gun sorted that. I then backed it up with a jubilee clip. All watertight so far and saved ££ and hours of work. The size refers to the internal diameter of the waste connector end, both this and the 22mm size appear to have the same hose connection dimension.

Dishwasher drain hose leak at sink

Just moved into our new home and noticed the leak from dishwasher at the sink end, due to the poor quality of the end of the hose. Normally would have replaced the hose but it wasn’t easy to remove the dishwasher. So, trimmed off the end the hose soaked it in super hot water then screwed on the Plumsure end stop, it took a bit of force to do but it worked a treat.

Dishwasher repair

Bought to repair the dishwasher drain hose because apparently a mouse ate through the old one at the very end. Ordinarily I would have just replaced the hose in full, but it appears someone built the cabinet around the dishwasher, meaning that removing it is next to impossible without major deconstruction work. Discovered there are two sizes of hose used on dishwashers, usually the older ones. The fitting didn't fit, it was too large for the hose. Of course, I discovered this after cutting the hose back. I was able to soak the hose in some superheated water, and eventually got it to slip inside the hose. I backed up the joint with a jubilee clip, and re-fastened it back on the drain line. So far, so good. Overall pleased that it worked, but was a bit of an ordeal.
