Great doorbell, exceeds our expectations
Bought this, the plug in chime and the transformer (had to buy the transformer direct from Ring). Thought we may need an electrician but my partner was able to wire the transformer to our existing doorbell wiring easily enough. This is so much better than the battery powered Blink doorbell we had previoisly

Great when fitted
This is a tech item so you are OK with apps then you'll be fine. Fitting, you need your current door bell button wired to the bell which in turn is wired to the mains via a transformer, basically if no batteries then it will work. One thing I would say negative is the installation instructions, they have somehow made them more complex by trying to make them simple. Amazon just add wire diagram. Wiring is just bypass the bell and put connection through to door button (remember to add the resistor in line with one wire).

My gran loves it but it has cons as a wired bell
I got this bell for my gran as a Christmas gift, it was incredibly easy to set up the picture and recording quality is great. The cons. If you don’t already have a standard wired doorbell you will need to purchase either a transformer plug for it or a connector to power it from your fuse box. Neither are too expensive. If you have a limited home internet package ring doorbells in general take a lot of your data useage even on the low use settings. Also they are made to be screwed in, so if you don’t fancy drilling into your upvc buy some command strips instead to stick it on.
