Good Product
Have used this Wood Preserver previously, and unlike many fence paints and protectors I find this does the job. Used it on fence panels and wooden gates, and they are still as good as new after 15 yrs. N.B. I always re-coat after 4/5 years.Fe

To Ronseal Preserver
Good coverage & last. Used the dark brown preserver before Covid & still looking good. Brought for a customer on my recommendation.

Shed preserver
Not cheap but worth every penny. I use this every couple of years on my shed and its lasted well over 20 years

As it says on the tin
I've used this on smooth cladding and on rough sawn timber. Easy to use, with consistent colour, 1st coat does take 24 hours to dry on smooth timber, but does a great job and the rain just beads off. I read the negative reports about the orange colour, so be sure to shake the whole tin well before every use - the colour is as it says, a lovely dark brown.

Ronseal preserver
Excellent coverage and really soaks into grain, especially on sawn wood. Will see how long it lasts.

The better way.
I've been using this protective coating for some time now. It's the best way to coat a fence or shed because it soaks into the wood rather than sitting on top and then fading within two years. It really does need three coats but if your job is big , as mine was recently, then it can be sprayed even though it doesn't say so on the tin but you will need the appropriate face mask and filter. Also, throughout the job keep the preservative shaken otherwise the colour will not be consistent. Sounds like a lot to do but you will admire your work and you won't have to do it again for a number of years.

Not what it said on the tin
I purchased two tins of this product in Dark Brown. The first tin was fine, but the second tin was orange! Unfortunately I discovered this half way through painting my shed, so had to request a replacement. B&Q were very good and dealt with this quickly, so no complaints there and it wasn't their fault the product wasn't as advertised. However, the replacement tin was also orange, so B&Q had to replace that too. The next replacement tin was fine. Top marks to B&Q for sorting the problem, but Ronseal really need to get their act together as the product was obviously not labelled correctly. Other than this issue, the preserver does seem to be good, although is very runny so best to put lots of newspapers down. It required the full three coats, but the end result looks good. Not sure I would trust Ronseal products again though after this experience

Colour not accurate
This was meant to be dark brown came out orange as did the light brown that i bought before. Bought the dark and it was orange finish too. Having looked at lots of reviews on different places this is a complaint from a lot of people. What have ronseal been doing in their production plant.

Ronseal preserver, dark brown.
I purchased 10 litres & very impressed with instance coverage although I done two coats. The stain brings out the wood grain leaving an excellent finish.

Every bit as good as the more expensive products
Though suited to rough wood, I used it on our wood clad dormer and it worked well, covering more expensive preserver with ease and quickly dying to a good almost silk finish. This would be my choice again.
