This clear yacht varnish from Ronseal can be applied to exterior using a brush. The varnish takes 4 hours to dry and will cover up to 16 m² per litre on average.

Don’t have a yacht?
Even though I don’t have a yacht this product has worked well on a garden bench. Made it come up like new.

Excellent coverage & finish
I bought this last month to varnish the side hatch doors on my narrowboat. Not only did it give excellent coverage, it dried perfectly & produced a fantastic finish.

Great varnish
I wanted a shiny varnish to use on an old garden bench, it now looks better than new photo taken after rain.

Good cover
It covers very well and is easy to apply. Builds up to a deep shine You need to use white spirit to clean the brush.

Very yellow
The varnish has a strong yellow tint which was unexpected due to bring labelled ‘clear’- this made it unsuitable for the job

Works as described
Was unsure what yacht varnish was but recently restored an old bench and this did just the job, definitely pulled out the grain.
