Well worth getting
I bought the ryobi hedge strimmer this summer to cut a griselinia hedge that's about 10 foot tall and 5 feet thick. With the extra pole attachment and angle adjustable head it made light work of cutting the hedge. What would normal take 2 hours with a ladder and hand strimmer I got the job done in less than 30 min without having to use a ladder. The strimmer was very good at cutting thicker branches (up to 2cm thick) so I was able to thin out the hedge. However I think its important to point out that when using the strimmer at its max length (ie using extension pole)there is a lot of weight to manage. I'm over 6 foot, 15 stone and in my 30s and I still had to switch arms regularly as my arms got very tired lifting the strimmer so if you are older or have shoulder/arm issues you will greatly struggle to lift and use the strimmer but I think ull find this issue with all the pole strimmers. Finally the battery lasts about 30 min but I was cutting through thicker branches so was working it hard. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase

Need the strength of Arnold schwarzenegger to hold
Useless at full length will only cut small branches, impossible to cut anything over 5mm, and that's if you are strong enough to hold it, the centre of gravity is way off being useful, really hard to hold it up and keep the trigger switch pressed, cant lock it on either. Battery life is rubbish. Not half as powerful as my cheap corded b an q hedge trimmer, which i reverted to using and did the job in a 1/4 of the time, and that cuts branches over 5mm.

Heavy and unsteady
Bought item in store ( £20 cheaper buying either direct or online) found the trimmer to be heavy, bulky.i was expecting item to be telescopic, not having to attach extension, this is a bit of a faff on.. cuts ok, hard to steady though, im 63yrs old and found it slightly heavy, awkward to usr at times... Could of been better designed but you get what you pay for.......

Great tool, very effective and having the extension makes life much easier. Battery suitable for a number of Ryobi tools so having other ones along with the hedge trimmer makes life much easier.

Superb buy,lightweight and easy to use.
Excellent tool, a very well balanced machine. Even using at fully extended length it was comfortable. The blades were very sharp and it cut through thicker hedges than normal. It was well worth the price especially with two batteries,and they charge up very quickly.Great buy.

Ryobi One + 18V 450 Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer
I found the Ryobi One pole hedge trimmer to be heavy and extremely awkward to use. I wish I had researched more regarding this product and purchased a lighter hedge trimmer and at least read previous reviews which other customers have also found this hedge trimmer to be heavy and extremely awkward to use.

Great product, if a little heavy
We bought this tool to help bring a conifer border under control again. It works great and being wireless is a massive improvement, didn't feel any different in power to a wired one, I used a larger battery to improve run time and counter balance. The downside would be how top heavy it is with the extension attached, it can seem a bit unruly at times, but overall I would recommend
