Great for a non professional's needs
I've had this for a few weeks and cut a range of materials with it. It is fine for thinner timbers, nails, removing the end of a bent fence spike and tree branches and roots up to around 3 inches diameter. Great help for cutting in confined spaces and from odd angles. It didn't do so well with thick dense wood. Battery time is good if heavy duty tasks are avoided. It felt lightweight and vibration issues were far les than with my B&Q recip saw. Simple blade change and has a safety lock.

Great investment
I have been looking at a saw like this for a while. I went with the Stanley fat max model as all my other tools are from the fat max range. The usual Stanley quality and reliability make it a great tool. Really easy to use and does the job very well. I would have given 5 stars however the battery life could be better. Not an issue if you have other batteries though and it charges very quickly .
