I have this post box 11 months and it is now starting to rust quite badly along the leading edge of the flap and also internally. It is also not waterproof.

Am I missing something in the fixing kit?

I took delivery of this yesterday and erected it on the outside wall by my front door today. Absolutely pleased with the way I fixed it up. Bang on horizontal /vertical etc. And THEN I opened the top. Where everybody will pop my post in? Or TRIED TO!! What's the matter with the design? The back of the lid, at hinge level, scrapes against my rendered wall and the lid won't fully open. To get anything in there the posty will have to force the lid up against my newly painted wall and eventually will badly mark the wall all along the width of the box... Not to mention scrape off all the protective paint off the back of the lid at hinge level!! I'm soooo disappointed. Am I supposed to mount the box on a couple of strips of wood to bring it forward away from the wall? What a waste of my time putting it up!!!

Really good postbox - solid, easy to use and weather proof and for a very modest price.

An Ok letterbox a bit flimsy but does the job,as is reflected in the price.
