Installation must be supervised by a qualified electrician.

Fan must be disconnected from electrical power before any maintenance is carried out.
These units are for fixed wiring only. A flexible cord must not be used. All wiring must be fixed securely and the cable to the fan should be a minimum of 1mm2 in section. All wiring must comply with current I.E.E. Regulations within the UK or AS/NZS 3000 within Australia and New Zealand or local regulations if outside.
A double pole fused spur having contact separation of at least 3mm in all pole must be used and fitted with a 3A fuse.
This fan is double insulated and does not require an earth connection

Good bathroom fan
This fan kit is fairly quiet yet affective. I did see it cheaper elsewhere after my purchase though, but it was available straight away from B&Q.

Quiet and efficient
My previous extractor ceased to work. This new one was very straightforward to fit and I was really pleasantly surprised by how quiet the fan was. It meets my requirements.

Works perfectly fine
I removed a star for two reasons... A template for the hole size would be useful for first time installation. The cable ties are too short so two need to be connected together. Otherwise once you have a basic knowledge of electrical wiring it's easily installed. I have a very tight attic space so completed 90% of the wiring before hand. The ducting tube is long enough for most bathrooms. I needed 9 feet. There is a little humming noise when it's on and the light is nice and bright.
