Poorly designed
Appears to suffer from a number of significant design faults. Firstly the power to the motor runs in a bulge outside of the vent tube. This results in it being impossible to fit a standard 100mm rigid vent pipe. Luckily I hadn't already mortared such a pipe into the wall as the instructions suggest. Secondly, if you use a flexible conduit this will foul the outward-opening backdraught shutters, thus completely blocking the vent. Had to remove shutters to make it work. Finally, the extremely shallow depth of the front cover makes it very difficult to accommodate the excess cabling.

Noisy
SIL is short for Silhouette not Silent! You get what you pay for so if you don’t want the sound of an aircraft every time you switch on the bathroom light, upgrade to a more expensive one!

Quietly efficient
Bought this as a replacement. A two wire connection so simple to connect. Quiet operation and reasonably priced.

Excellent.
I bought this to upgrade the one I had as it felt as though it wasn't running at full capacity (4+ yrs old). To be honest I've just got out the shower & what a difference it has made.

Great quality - competitive price
I wanted a good quality extractor fan that I could simply switch on and off with the light switch - and this one exactly fits the bill. Its very easy to install and I had it working in 20 minutes!
