Precise and solid
Bought it to do some coving at home, works perfectly. I've dropped it a couple of times and it had no effect on the box.

Perfect for any size and style of coving
I'm new to DIY so finding the right tool to accurately do corner cuts was a trial and error process. I was using 80mm drop egg and dart coving so a standard mitre tool didn't work, and a regular mitre box wasn't deep enough. After some research i found this and it worked perfectly, well made and straightforward. We positioned the coving and then clamped a small straight bit of wood onto the side of the mitre box to ensure all pieces stayed in place. It worked perfectly. Being wood you can write 'wall' and 'ceiling' on the hox to keep your orientation correct. Take care while cutting so that you don't cut into the wood of the box.

Waste of money
Brought for my coving and complete waste of money angles are wrong very lucky to get 2 parts to join properly to make a corner don’t bother

Better than expected
Bought this as the coving I had wasn’t symmetrical and couldn’t use mitre saw. Read the reviews and wasn’t sure but works really well would definitely recommend

Useful for mitre joints with some careful thought
The coving mitre box works well as long as you plan your cuts carefully. It’s also helpful to mark up the box with which mitre is for a left hand or right hand cut and whether it’s an inside or outside corner. Making sure you align the coving in exactly the same place by drawing guide lines on the coving box is helpful for creating identical cuts. The box had a flat base and was simple to use

Useful item
I got this to cut wider coving that wouldn’t fit in the plastic mitre box. What I found was the coving slipped around a bit so I took one star off. I found that if I marked the mitre box with a few pencil lines to mark the width of the coving I was able to hold it in place, against the lines for a more accurate cut. You could maybe put a few nails in to mark the width as the box is wooden.
