BOXT air conditioning FAQ's

Air conditioning works in principle by removing unwanted heat from one area and replacing it with chilled dry air.

A chemical refrigerant in the system absorbs the heat and carries it to the outside where it is expelled as hot air.

The size of the unit you need is dependent mainly on the size of the room, though there are some other considerations like how much sunlight the room gets.

BOXT will recommend air conditioning units based on the answers you give in the screening questionnaire. You can choose from any of the air conditioning packages that you are recommended, they will vary by brand and price.

If you are presented with options for more than one power size (kW) - the higher power size is seen as an upgrade option if you wanted more power.

Yes, you need the outside unit for the indoor unit to work.

Yes. All the air conditioning units that BOXT supply come with the ability to heat, as well as cool.

Yes. All of the fixed price packages from BOXT include installation.
