Pipe air vents
Air vent valves are fitted to the end of pipes and allow trapped air to safely escape hot water heating systems. This ensures that systems run efficiently by preventing air locks. Depending on their design they can either release air automatically or may require bleeding from time to time in order to allow the air to escape. In this case, they’re commonly known as bleed valves and used in conjunction with radiators where a special key is used to control the release.
