Hose clips
Hose clips are used to fasten flexible hoses to inflexible inlets and outlets on appliances as well as in plumbing systems. Comprising an adjustable metal band and a worm screw - a simple mechanism that is used to loosen and tighten the band, they can be both fitted and loosened using an integral key, if included, or a screwdriver. As it’s easy to secure and remove, a hose clip can be used repeatedly and is a helpful choice when plumbing in appliances such as laundry machines which may need to be replaced or updated over time. They’re often known as jubilee clips, a name that derives from the brand which originally manufactured these components in the early twentieth century but has now become part of modern plumbing vocabulary.
