R clips

R clips, also referred to as R-keys, R pins, and hairpin cotter pins, are multifunctional fasteners used in a variety of applications. They consist of a wire loop bent into a hairpin shape; the short leg gets fitted into a pre-drilled hole, while the long leg secures the clip into place. R-clips are popular within the mechanical industry, as well as great for introducing a temporary or semi-permanent fastening solution in a variety of home improvement project.
