Joining TradePoint is free and easy. We've answered all of your most popular questions about membership, including setting up your TradePoint account and activating your account online
To become a TradePoint member you just need one form of ID to prove you’re in the trade, like a business card, or company invoice. Once you are ready to join, you can either sign up in-store by bringing your proof of trade with you, or online by uploading the ID to your account.
Sign up to TradePoint in-store
The TradePoint team in any of our nationwide stores will process your application by taking some details from you and approving your trade ID, you’ll then get a temporary card to use straight away. Your permanent card will be delivered to your home address within 14 days.
Sign up to TradePoint online
If you sign up online, again you’ll need your trade ID to submit your application, our team will verify this and you’ll receive an email with your new membership number. You can shop online straight away and shop instore once you have your membership number. Your permanent card will be delivered to your home address within 14 days.
Registering your TradePoint membership card online will allow you to access all the benefits of TradePoint membership, and if you have an earned loyalty discount, this will apply online too. You can also view your contact details, update your marketing preferences, and view your recent web orders.
You can register your TradePoint account online here. You’ll just need three pieces of information to verify you are the card owner:
1. Your TradePoint 16 digit card number from either your temporary membership card or the permanent plastic card.
2. The postcode of your address linked to the account.
3. And if you gave an email on sign up instore, this too. Don’t worry if you didn’t, as you can just add one as part of your registration.
The system may not let you progress with your registration if it does not recognise some of the information you’ve entered. This could be: the membership number entered, the postcode, or the email address if one already exists on your account. If you are still having issues, you can visit your local store or call our contact centre team on 0333 004 9999 who will be able to help.
This can happen if you have more than one account. If you phone our contact centre they will be able to update the system for you. You can call them on 0333 004 9999.
Once activated, to log in online you just need to enter your email and password linked to your account. If you have forgotten your password, you can request to reset this online, or our store teams can request this for you the next time you are in store?
You can reset your password in two ways; the first is using the TradePoint website by clicking here. Alternatively our TradePoint store teams can request this for you the next time you are in store.
Yes – you can now only log in online by email and password. If you have trouble accessing your account, and do not know the email linked to your account or cannot remember it, can visit your local store or call our contact centre team on 0333 004 9999 who will be able to verify your identity and help restore your access.
TradePoint cards are personal to the individual named on the card and are for use only in connection with the trade entity named on the card. Therefore if you work with another tradesmen they would need to apply for card in their own name.
Get a new TradePoint card in-store
Bring in a form of ID and we'll get your new card sent out to you (within 14 days). While you're waiting you can still use your TradePoint account - we'll give you your TradePoint membership number and you can use this until your new card arrives.
Get a new TradePoint card by phone
Call the TradePoint Order Line on 0333 004 9999. Press Option 2 to be put through to our General Enquiries line.
All cards should be received within 14 days of your application being processed. If you haven’t received your card we will be able to look into this for you by calling us on 0333 004 9999 and press Option 2.
You can update your contact details online using the my account page on the TradePoint website. Alternatively you can visit any of our TradePoint counter stores where the team will be happy to update the details.
